Brand new and very innovative product by Wacom, the Inkling. The Inkling allows designers and illustrators to draw or sketch directly on paper, even creating new layers before importing the artworks to their computer. The files can then be edited in their preferred software as vector or bitmap. Looks like it’s going to be pretty handy for designers as it can also be used in meetings whilst discussing project layouts and designs. This is an amazing bit of technology although, unfortunately, it’s a bit pricy and certainly out of my range! £124 is the cheapest I’ve seen it online. That’s roughly about $200 I guess. Still, what a great idea. I’m not much of an artist but it would make a great present for some of my friends who are. If it ever gets cheaper.
